Wow. Cool pics!
I saw this on the Potomac this weekend.
Probably 40 feet off the river.

Nice!! Low flying whirly birds are so cool.
I did basic at CFB Borden and when we were out in the field they had a CH-146 training low level . Swear there couldn’t have been more than 20ft between the tree tops (which were only 40ft anyways) and the skids and they had it really moving.
We took a break and I stood on a mound out in the open watching . T hey spotted us a few clicks out coming off the tree line, banked, nose down, and did a fast and low buzz pass directly over me, maybe 30ft? One of my top memories in training.

:) It was really peaceful especially areas the cell service was gone.
The deckhand got a shot of some porpoises. I got one of a whale tail, it was pretty close but I still zoomed in so the quality i sn’t the best.

That sounds pretty amazing.
This was a MD 520N Turbine according to the tail numbers. It was super quiet and flew up the river and then back down a few minutes later. This shot gives a better idea of the height.
